Last week, a citizen from Neijiang City of Sichuan Province came across an oddity. The citizen's cat gave birth to a kitten. However, the kitten looks like anything but an ordinary creature. "There was only one eye right in the middle of its forehead. It was cute. Unfortunately, the kitten died shortly after it was born." The owner told our journalists.

According to a vet from an animal hospital of Neijiang, the bizarre look of the little kitten is caused by a genetic mutation. As for why it died so fast, the vet speculated it was because the kitten had no nose to breathe.

When talking about the dead kitten, its owner Mr. Wang feels sorry about its death. "There were three kittens born at around 11 a.m. on August 30^th. I felt very excited when I found my cat gave birth to three adorable baby cats." Mr. Wang said. He was an enthusiast to raise cats since his childhood. Over many years, there are still many cats raised in Mr. Wang's house.

According to Mr. Wang, the mommy cat was a gift from his friend three years ago. The "Mike Wazowski" was the first kitten born by the mommy cat. Later, the mommy cat was delivered of other two kittens. At first, Mr. Wang didn't notice the special "Mike Wazowski"; neither did its mommy. "A hour later, I found the kitten doesn't have a nose, with only one eye in the middle of its forehead." Wang said.

When he noticed the bizarre kitten, it had already been dying, even too late to send to the animal hospital. Mr. Wang could do nothing but seeing the poor kitten passing away.

After its death, Mr. Wang placed its body in front of his personally owned supermarket, which attracted a crowd of onlookers. "All the people felt curious about it. This is my first time to see such an rear kitten."

Yesterday, when our reporter rushed to Mr. Wang's home, he took out the dead kitten from a refrigerator. The reporter found the kitten in white had one eye in the middle of its forehead, but the eye was much larger than a normal kitten. And it was about 10cm in length. Mr. Wang said one of his friends wanted to make the kitten into an animal specimen. That's why Mr. Wang hasn't buried it yet. "I will leave the kitten to my friend" Mr. Wang said.
