Johanna Deakin, the mother of former One Direction member, Louis Tomlinson has passed away at the young age of 43. 

Deakin reportedly passed away on Wednesday after a battle with a rare form of Leukemia. The Tomlinson family released a statement saying, "It is with immeasurable sadness that our family had said goodbye to Johannah in the early hours of Wednesday, December 7. Earlier this year Johannah was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukaemia that required immediate and continuous treatment. We respectfully request that we are given time and space to grieve in private."

Johanna who worked as a midwife is very well known in the One Direction fandom and has her fair share of followers on social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter. 

Her son, Louis, recently posted a photo of him and his mother on Instagram with the caption, "My mother looking gorgeous before the Brits earlier this year. I love you and miss you so much!" 

Some of Louis' friends in the entertainment industry sent their condolences via social media, 'X Factor' mentor and judge Simon Cowell tweeted Tomlinson saying, "Heart Broken for you Louis, your mum Jay was an incredible person. Sending you and your family all my love."

Former bandmate, Zayn Malik, also sent his condolences saying, "Love you bro, All your family is in my prayers. Proud of your strength and know your mum is too xx."

Tomlinson is reported to be making an appearance on 'X Factor' on Saturday, where it is said that he will be honoring his late mother.
