The streaming company Netflix is now expanding its services to regions like Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium, Austria, France and Germany. Presently, the video-streaming services are accessible to 40 countries. With its market expansion to a majority of the European markets, analysts believe Netflix can make it even bigger.

To publicize its expansion plans and activities, Netflix tweeted last Sunday: "[ALERTE SPOILER] On est là : netflix.fr." This means "Spoiler alert: We are here." The company's standard or starting service price is at 7.99 Euros per month. According to CNET, the company's expansion initiative stems from the continuous decline of US subscribers. Extending services to regions like Luxembourg, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria and Germany can be beneficial for the streaming service.
Business Insider also supports this claim citing Statisa's data about the company. According to the results, Netflix has gone through steady growth throughout the years. But in 2010, the company has seen major development internationally. Within a few years, Netflix gained 2.4 million subscribers steadily every year. When the company made its services available in Canada and other countries, its user base went up to 7 million annually.
International expansion gave Netflix a steady flow of 1.1 million subscribers versus the 570,000 additional users within the United States. In order to guarantee its venture in France, the company partnered with one of the region's leading telecom enterprise: Bouygues SA. It ranks third after SFR and Orange. Netflix refuses to provide additional details of the partnership but CNET notes that the company's streaming services will be accessible on set-top boxes directly starting November.
To make sure its services are aligned with its target market, Netflix will also be offering French-dubbed content and descriptions. However, analysts think that it may take some time for Netflix to get settled in European markets with a different language requirement.
Other countries where Netflix has extended its services include Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and the Netherlands.
