Kanye West just went on Twitter to share some of the details of his private meeting with President-elect Donald Trump at the Trump Tower on Tuesday morning.
The news was initially met with raised eyebrows and criticism online, especially since Trump has had problems with the African-American community and Kanye has expressed his interest in running for president in the near future.

The unlikely long time friends were even caught by the paparazzi at the lobby of the Trump Tower after their meeting. When asked about what they talked about, Trump answered, "Life," while Kanye seemed to be staring into space. He told the paparazzi, "I just want to take a picture right now."
I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues.

The rapper, and Presidential “hopeful,” went on to explain that his visit was for the good of many, despite online speculations that he merely wanted Trump’s permission to become a “brand ambassador” or perform at the President-elect’s inauguration next year.
These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago. — KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) December 13, 2016
I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.

Like those were not cringe-worthy enough for some, Kanye also followed up his tweets with another that seemed to hint at when he is hoping to run for president.
You may remember him expressing his ambitious interest in becoming the most powerful man in the US (and the world) at the MTV VMAs in September last year, declaring that he would run in 2020. And just a few months ago, he explained that his decision was driven by his “view on humanity.”
But now, it looks like he is really not in a hurry and might be giving Trump two terms before he takes over.
