Latest trade rumors have emerged that the Boston Celtics are targeting DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis as the NBA's trade season begins.
The league's restriction to trade newly-signed free agents is set to be lifted on Thursday, Dec. 15 and it is expected that all 30 teams will try to at least look in the trade market for potential deals to improve their respective rosters as the season soon reaches the halfway mark.

One of the teams that is expected to become busy in the trade season is the Boston Celtics, who had long been rumored to be seeking a legitimate superstar to become the future face of the franchise.
The latest speculations with regards to the 17-time NBA champion club is that they could be targeting either Cousins or Davis in or before the February trade deadline to form their new Big Three in Boston with Al Horford and Isaiah Thomas, as per Metro.
The report said that the Cousins-to-Boston rumor "has traction" and could definitely happen right before this season's trade deadline if the Kings continue on their downward spiral.
Sacramento is set to have their 11th consecutive playoff-less season, seven of them with Cousins as the team's main man, if they do not do any drastic changes with the opportunities they have right now.
Reports are out that Cousins could be traded sometime this season as the Kings are currently in a "wait-and-see" attitude while the deadline is drawing nearer. Team officials reportedly wanted to make sure the team is headed to another losing season before they decide to let go of the two-time All-Star center.
Meanwhile, Davis is in the same situation in New Orleans as despite his so far incredible season as an individual, the Pelicans are headed to another losing year. New Orleans is presently third from the last place in the West.
However, SB Nation indicated that there are "a few factors that could dissuade teams" from trading with the Celtics at this time, including the fact that other teams' are still unwilling to make changes as they are still assessing their current rosters.
Another factor is that teams who have trade assets believe that the value of their players tend to increase as the deadline draws nearer and so potential trades would most likely happen in late January or early February.
