During his speech at the event, Reynolds thanked his wife saying, "I want to thank my wife, Blake, who is sitting right there, you are everything to me. You are the best thing, the best thing that has ever happened to me." to which he jokingly added "second only to this star of course. But kidding aside, Blake you make everything in my life better, absolutely better. You have made me the father I have always dreamt of when I thought I only had the 'fun uncle' potential."
The year 2016 has been a good year for the 40-year-old actor. His blockbuster hit 'Deadpool' which was reported to have a budget of $58 million became a surprise hit after it made more than $780 million worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing superhero films of all time.
Aside from having a blockbuster film under his belt, he was also named 'Best Actor in a Comedy' for his role as Deadpool as well 'Entertainer of the Year' at the recently concluded 'Critics Choice Awards'.
Reynolds was honoured with the star after being in the entertainment industry for more than two decades.
