United's top men are said to be delighted with the impact the former Chelsea manager has made since taking over the hot seat in May, particularly the brand of football that Mourinho has introduced.
They are keen for Mourinho to stay beyond his current 3-year-deal, despite the club languishing 13 points behind current league leaders Chelsea.
Mourinho has an option of extending his current $12 million-a-year deal by another year. There have been media reports that the club will activate the option at the end of the season.
The Portuguese tactician is also keen to stay; despite the riches on offer should he move to the Chinese Super League.
"China money is attractive for everyone but I love more my football at the highest level. I'm too young, have many years of football to go to a place like China," said the 53-year-old Mourinho, adding that he wants to stay in the most difficult place to win.
When quizzed about a new contract offer, Mourinho said that he does not expect the club to approach him at this point in time, because he already has a three year deal.
"They know that I'm loving it at every level, they know I'm loving my job at Manchester United, and I know that if one day they bring a new contract I will sign it. I will sign it because I am loving it," Mourinho said.
Meanwhile, Mourinho has admitted that he feels guilty for not handing Memphis Depay and Ashley Young enough game time to prove their worth to him.
Memphis has ten appearances since Mourinho joined the club in May, while Ashley Young has only managed nine appearances.
Memphis Depay has been heavily linked with a loan switch to Everton in January.
