Amidst the abundance of devices currently available, two of the latest arrivals are the Motorola Moto G 2014 and Xiaomi Redmi 1S.

The new Moto G is expected to be a hit, as well as the Redmi 1S, which is massively popular right now. Those who are choosing between these two devices should read on and find out the comparison of features, specs and prices of the Moto G 2014 and Redmi 1S.

The Xiaomi Redmi 1S is in demand and people trying to buy it are becoming frustrated. While there will be a flash sale on Sept. 16, it will again likely sell out fast.

The more expensive Moto G Gen 2 and the Redmi 1S are both powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Cortex-A7 processor with 1 GB RAM. The Xiaomi processor, however, is clocked at 1.6 GHz while the Motorola processor is at 1.2 GHz.

The Redmi runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with MIUI v5 while the Moto G runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat, upgradable to Android 5.0 L.

The Redmi 1S has an 8 GB internal storage while the Moto G has 8 and 16 GB variants. Both handsets have microSD card support with up to 32 GB of expansion capability.

The Redmi 1S has a 4.7-inch IPS LCD display with 1280 x 720 and 312 ppi screen resolution whereas the Moto G sports a 5-inch IPS LCD Display with the same screen resolution and 294 ppi.

The Redmi 1S features an 8 MP primary camera with LED flash, autofocus, 1080p video recording and 1.6 MP secondary camera.

The new Moto G also sports an 8 MP primary camera with the same LED flash and autofocus but only has 720p video capture. It has a 2 MP secondary camera.

The Xiaomi Redmi has a removable 2000 mAh battery whereas the Moto G Gen 2 has a non-removable 2070 mAh battery. The 8 GB Redmi 1S costs US$99 while the 16 GB Moto G Gen 2 costs US$180.
