Rihanna Fumes as CBS Drops Her Song From Football Broadcast

Anyone, even CBS, should know what awaits them when Rihanna gets upset! Rihanna's 37 million fans on Twitter just heard about the singer's rant after she found out that CBS is dropping her song from last week's premiere of "Thursday Night Football." The network was sure of cancelling the song from its telecasts throughout the season.

The opening intro has Rihanna singing a version Jay-Z 's 2009 hit "Run This Town", which also featured her and Kanye West.

But the singer won't let this happen without giving a CBS a lesson it should learn.

In her Twitter accounted, she  lashed CBS: "CBS you pulled my song last week, now you wanna slide it back in this Thursday? NO, F*** you! Y'all are sad for penalizing me for this."

Last week CBS decided to drop the celebratory opening for its new package of N.F.L. games. In replacement, a pre-game coverage of the breaking news, along with commentary about domestic violence, will be shown.

But because of Rihanna's reaction, CBS, decided to air "newly created 'Thursday Night Football' theme music."

The music will be created in-house and will run throughout the season.

Other than that, the rest of the opening program, which also features actor Don Cheadle, will go on, according to CBS.

Meanwhile, CBS's top sports executive Sean McManus defended CBS' decision citing Rihanna's earlier link to incidents such as domestic violence as one of the considerations why they decided to drop her song last week, although this was not the only reason for the action.

The singer posted a follow-up tweet which says:  "The audacity..."

Rihanna's social media rant is nothing new. There was an instance when Ciara told "Fashion Police" that Rihanna wasn't very nice. She responded by posting: "My bad ci, did I 4get to tip you? #howrudeofme." Ciara then issued a statement: "Trust me, Rihanna, you don't want to see me on or off the stage," to which the pop star replied: "Good luck with booking that stage you speak of."
