A knife-wielding man on Wednesday sneaked into a kindergarten and stabbed 11 children with a blade in the South western city of Pingxiang, Guangxi Province.
The 41-year-old suspect is said to have climbed over the wall of the school and stabbed the innocent children.
All 11 victims were immediately rushed to the hospital following the incident for medical care. None of them, however, suffered from life-threatening stab wounds, according to a statement issued by the Pingxiang city government.

Meanwhile, police authorities have arrested and detained the culprit, while investigations about the motives behind the attack continue. His identification has not been divulged.
Such incidents have slowly been on the rise with young children as common targets, according to Fox News.
Last February 2015, six boys and five girls were also injured after they were attacked in Southern China. In April 2010 also, a 47-year-old suspect identified as Xu Yuyuan was sentenced to death after stabbing at least 29 kindergarten pupils and three teachers in Tiaxing, according to The Independent.
