Lang Ping Now Coaching the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team

With a record of 4 wins and 1 loss, China won their silver medal at the 2013 FIVB World Grand Prix Finals held in Sapporo Japan. Lang Ping "iron hammer" a former Chinese volleyball player, and also the former head coach of the United States women's national volleyball team, and now coaching the China National Team has established China on the right path.

According to Jose Roberto Guimaraes head coach of Brazil, the Chinese team is in a very good shape, and he saw a lot of improvement. China loss to Brazil 0-3 on Sunday, but before that China has already won 13 matches this year and has set a long winning streak record in their participation in the annual women's volleyball tournament with their new head coach, Lang Ping.  It was China's first loss in 20 matches. Lang Ping took over Yu Juemin as head coach after an unacceptable result at London Olympic Games.

According to Lang Ping she was a little bit surprised and not expecting finishing with the silver medal, and she's happy with the good result. She used different strategies during the World Grand Prix like resting the young player Zhu Ting who had "up and downs", and let her watch several games to study, and then was back to the game without heavy pressure. Even with the good result, she said that her team had a lot to improve in order to become a true solid team.

Chinese players were happy while playing under the supervision of their idol. Wang Yimei, is a main attacker for Chinese women's volleyball team said that "This is a new team and we have a coach, I think we have learned a lot from her and we will just try our best,".

The Chinese women's volleyball team have less than two week to get ready for the upcoming Asian Championship.
