He was speechless at first saying only hello, hi, and hello again. Later on, he addressed the two questions given to HFPA through social media. The first question was something about the film. He answered, "You know, every day was pretty intense and grueling," adding that his role was to actually provoke and give much work as possible to Jake Gyllenhaal. Taylor-Johnaon gave credits to his co-star Gyllenhaal for a job well-done.

The second question given was about his preparation on the role given to him. He answered that it "...was intense and grueling, and I spent months watching documentaries about serial killers and psychopaths." He said that he had a lot of sleepless nights watching the material. Psychologically, he shared it was really hard.

Los Angeles Times reported that he also shared his dream project that is to work with people whom he really enjoy working with. He further revealed that he loves to explore or try different characters and even genres and that working with what he really wants to do and working with people he wants to be with is a "luxury."

Taylor-Johnson also revealed that he started acting, or found out that he knows how to act, when he was only 6 years old. Fortunately, his parents gave him the opportunity to show what he got and showcase his talents. "The fact that they nurtured and encouraged that -- I wouldn't be here without them," he said.

The actor also said that his parents were extremely proud of his work and that they were "moved" by the movie.
