The scrambling ballclub of the Minnesota Timberwolves got the better of the visiting team of the Dallas Mavericks with a 101-92 win on Monday night at the Target Center to snap their four-game losing skid.

According to the ESPN, sophomore Karl-Anthony Towns and veteran Spanish point guard Ricky Rubio led the Timberwolves to another triumph with their impressive game performances. Both players finished the match in double-double with Towns having 34 points and 11 rebounds, while Rubio contributing with 13 points and a season-high 15 assists.

"The team was struggling lately and everybody had to do a better job in the fourth quarter, and I think we did today," the 26-year-old Rubio said after the match.

"We've been doing a pretty good job for three quarters all season, but the fourth quarter is just different. It's when you win games," the Spanish basketball star added.

Minnesota has lost 12 games after leading by double digits this season, including a heartbreaking two-point lost against the Utah Jazz on Saturday at their home court.

The winning team shot an impressive 56.3 percent from the floor, with Towns, who went 15 for 19 from the field, leading the way. The 2016 NBA Rookie of the Year got off to a sizzling start, shooting eight of nine in the first 12 minutes of the ballgame.

"I guess it was my lucky day," Towns, who also posted three shot blocks and one steal in 37 minutes of playing time, said.

"I just found good ways to find ways that they couldn't double-team me in spots where it was very difficult to double-team me," he continued.

According to the official website of the NBA, the victory improved Minnesota's win-loss record to 12-26 and a better 7-13 at home this season. The Mavericks, on the other hand, dropped to 11-27 and dwelt at the bottom-low of the 15-squad Western Conference team standing.

The Timberwolves will host the red-hot Houston Rockets on Wednesday, while the Mavs will play the Phoenix Sun on Thursday in Mexico City.
