Chinese Basketball Association Round 26: Maciej Lampe’s Impressive Performance Lifts Shenzhen New Century Leopards in Clobbering Fujian Sturgeons

(Photo : Getty Images) Maciej Lampe had game-high 42 points and team-high 16 rebounds to lead the Leopards to another convincing victory in the CBA.
After an impressive victory over the league leading team of the Shanghai Sharks in their game before the 2017 CBA All-Star Weekend, the team of Shenzhen New Century Leopards replicated their triumph in the expense of the Fujian Sturgeons with a 129-109 win in the 26th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Tuesday night.

According to EuroBasket, former NBA player Maciej Lampe had another brilliant double-double game performance of game-high 42 points and team-high 16 rebounds to lead the Leopards to another convincing victory. The 31-year-old Polish big man went on a 14-18 shooting from the field and made a perfect 8-of-8 from the foul line in 32 minutes of playing time.
American point guard Jeremy Pargo contributed with 27 markers to go along with seven rebounds and four assists, while Chinese players Duo Meng and Zijie Shen contributed with 17 points and 10 points, respectively, for the winning side.
With the win, the Leopards improved to a better 18 wins and eight losses record to move to the sixth spot of the team standings. On the other hand, the Sturgeons dropped to a disappointing 7-19 win-loss card and their latest setback would mean another big road block to their campaign in reaching the playoffs with only eight teams qualifying to advance to the CBA's postseason.
Foreign basketball reinforcement Dwight Buycks paced Fujian with 30 points, while Chinese center Wang Zhelin had 21 markers and 14 boards. American forward JJ Hickson only scored nine points but posted 18 boards during the game.
Basing in the game result in NowGoal, Shenzhen ended the first 24 minutes of the match leading by five points, 59-54. The winners continued to stretch their lead in the third period after staging a 33-25 run to enter the fourth quarter with a 13-point advantage.
In the final 12 minutes of the game, the Leopards never look back and walked on with the win.They will be facing the team of Sichuan Blue Whales in the next round on Friday.
