Meizu has sent out invitations for its media event on Jan. 27, suggesting that the company may unveil its M5s device.
The Meizu M5s has been revealed slowly through images showing up online especially on Chinese Weibo. The new mobile device had already been certified by the Chinese TENAA and the 3C authority. It is now ready to hit the market shelves any time the Chinese tech firm plans to. In addition, Meizu M5s was also seen earlier this month in Geekbench, revealing some of the device’s key specs too.

There are two versions of M5s certified by TENAA in December 2016 – the M612Q and M612M. Both are similar to each other when it comes to specs. It suggested that one version is intended for the Chinese market and the other one is dedicated for the international market.
The Meizu M5s will feature Mediatek MT6753 chipset with octa-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.3 GHz paired with three variants of storage: 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage, 3GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage, and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. However, the smartphone will be launching with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS only.
The device is having a 5.2-inch sized HD display and a 2,930mAh battery. For the camera, it will have 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera good for selfies. For the handset’s dimension, it measures 148.2 x 72.53 x 8.4 mm. M5s will be available in three colors: Gold, Rose Gold, and Silver Gray.
Meizu’s announcement of the upcoming device would suggest that M5s will be on sale in stores across China during the Chinese New Year.
