Chinese Basketball Association: Darius Adams’ Prolific Scoring Lifts Xinjiang Flying Tigers in Win over Guangdong Southern Tigers

Xinjiang Flying Tigers crushed the tam of the Guangdong Southern Tigers with a 129-109 win in the 27th round of the 22nd season of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Friday night.
According to EuroBasket, foreign basketball reinforcement Darius Adams had another explosive evening scoring game-high 37 points in leading Xinjiang to another victorious battle. The veteran American-Bulgarian point guard went on a 12-17 shooting from the two-point range and made 10-11 from the foul line in 34 minutes of playing time.

Former Washington Wizards player and Gilas Pilipinas stalwart Andray Blatche had 15 points and 10 rebounds to go along with three steals and three blocked shot in helping the Flying Tigers in accomplishing their game assignment. Houston Rockets recruit Zhou Qi contributed with 22 markers with an outstanding five blocked shots.
Local talents Muhtar Xirelijiang and Kelanbaike Makan chipped in with 19 points and 12 points, respectively, for the winners, who will be facing the Shenzhen New Century Leopards in the coming next round of the league's regular season.
Former NBA player Donald Sloan paced Guangdong, which continued to miss the services of Chinese basketball superstar Yi Jianlian, with 35 points, while Carlos Boozer had 23 markers.
With the victory, the Flying Tigers now improve to a better 22-5 win-loss record and presently sit on the second spot of the Chinese league's team standings. Xinjiang is just a game behind the top-notch team of Shanghai Sharks, who own a CBA-best 23-4 win-loss card.
Basing from the match result in NowGoal, the winning team kicked off the opening period with a strong start putting in a 28-22 first quarter run. However, the Southern Tigers staged a 30-26 charge in following quarter to end the first half trailing by just a basket, 54-52.
In the final 24 minutes of the match, the Flying Tigers stormed the opposing team with a combined 75-57 run to completely seal the victory.
