Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has confirmed that its latest device - the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 - will be launched in India this coming Jan. 19. The smartphone will be sold exclusively via Flipkart.com.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 smartphone was initially launched in China last year. It was made available in the country in two variant models - 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM priced at CNY 899 (approximately $130.81 / Rs. 9,000) and 3GB RAM + 64GB ROM at around CNY 1,199 (approximately $174.46 / Rs. 12,000). The highlight of this phone is its huge 4,100mAh capacity battery similar to its predecessor.
In terms of specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels) display screen with 2.5D arc glass design with a pixel density of 401ppi. Under the hood, the handheld device is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor, coupled with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system out of the box, along with Xiaomi's latest customized MIUI 8 user interface laid on top.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with PDAF (phase detection autofocus), f/2.0 aperture, and a dual-tone LED flash support. On the front is a 5-megapixel sensor with 85-degree wide angle lens.
Connectivity options on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G with VoLTE network, GPS, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, Glonass, fingerprint scanner, and an integrated infrared sensor. It measures a body dimension of 151 x 76 x 8.35 mm and weighs around 175 grams.
