A wild three-team, eight-player trade scenario has been circling online these days involving the Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks, and Los Angeles Lakers which could move All-Stars Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose to different teams.
The Knicks started the season well with a 16-13 record, enough for third place in the East, but had lost 11 of their last 13 matches to drop them to 18-24, fifth from the last spot in the Eastern Conference standings.

With the team still struggling despite the management's big offseason moves, it is not surprising that Anthony and Rose are being mentioned in latest trade rumors.
Anthony has been in the rumor mill recently after speculations emerged that Knicks president Phil Jackson wants him out of New York but could not trade him because of the no-trade clause in his current contract.
According to Fansided, the nine-time NBA All-Star "has not considered waiving his no-trade clause" and is still "committed to playing for the Knicks" whether or not the franchise still wants him to be there.
An article by NBA analyst Charley Rosen, who is known to be a trusted confidante of Jackson, said that Anthony has "outlived his usefulness in New York". The former NBA scoring champion responded in an interview that it should be a conversation that both parties should have to sort out.
"If they feel my time in New York is over, I guess that's a conversation we should have," Anthony said.
With that, Inquisitr suggested a wild trade with the Lakers and Cavs that would include Anthony and Rose.
The parameters of the deal are as follows: 1.) Anthony goes to Cleveland, 2.) Rose, Tristan Thompson, and Iman Shumpert move to Los Angeles, and 3.) Luol Deng, Jordan Clarkson, Lou Williams, and DeAndre Liggins go to New York.
The trade is legal according to ESPN's NBA Trade Machine simulation, but it looks like the teams involved would not readily agree with the deal.
For one, the Cavs do not have a starting spot ready for Anthony as LeBron James and Kevin Love are playing well this season unless Love is willing to slide to the center spot, which head coach Tyronn Lue would most likely reject.
Meanwhile, the Knicks get no significant return, besides perhaps Clarkson, in losing two of their superstar starters so the hypothetical deal is highly unlikely to happen.
