One of the world's largest hearing aid company from Denmark GN ReSound recently revealed a new wearable technology during the IFA tech fair 2014 in Berlin: the ReSound Linx, a smart wearable earpiece that can connect to the iPhone device wirelessly and aids in hearing by increasing volume coming from the real live world.

Developed in collaboration with Apple Inc, ReSound Linx was welcomed by many with warm feelings, calling the new technology a genius, life-altering and a game changer. By connecting to the iPhone device, it allows users to have full control using a dedicated app.

It is simple and easy to use and doesn't require lots of lessons for the user to start using it. It has the capability to turn the iPhone device into a microphone and let users control and adjust the volume. The Resound Linx also pairs automatically with the iPhones if the user prefers.

ReSound Linx uses Bluetooth technology to link the smart earpiece to the iPhone device. Like most wireless earpieces, it can also be used to stream music, phone calls, FaceTime calls, and video sounds, and supports iPhone devices, iPads and iPods.

During a demonstration, GN ReSound called the new earpiece technology "wireless stereo headphones that just happen to be your hearing aid".

"We saw an opportunity to create the world's best hearing aid by combining the capability of GN ReSound's life-changing technologies with the compatibility and global prevalence of iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch," GN ReSound Chief Executive Officer Lars Viksmoen stated.

Aside from using a dedicated app with the ReSound Linx, users will have the ability to use iPhones' own accessibility control. It becomes the first hearing aid product to be tagged "Made for iPhone."
