Smartphone manufacturer AGM has debuted the AGM A8, a rugged smartphone that combines a decent set if specs with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat mobile operating system.
Most rugged devices that are currently available in the market have MediaTek chipsets. However, AGM decided to pick the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 to power the AGM A8. The phone has 3GB of memory and 32GB of storage space which is expandable, according to Giz China.

The AGM A8 packs a 13-megapixel rear facing main camera and a 2-megapixel front facing selfie snapper. It has a 4050mAh battery packs and a 5-inch display with an HD resolution. The phone also supports dual-SIM configuration, according to Android Headlines.
The phone scores an IP68 certification. This means that it is dustproof and waterproof up to a certain depth.
The AGM A8 is not exactly a flagship killer, but seeing its combination of rugged features, decent hardware specs, along with the Android Nougat OS, it has a good chance of performing well on the market once it is rolled out.
AGM may have detailed the specs of the AGM A8, but the company is yet to confirm the official price of this rugged phone. Nevertheless, the smartphone company has confirmed that the A8 will hit the market shortly after the Chinese Spring Festival. Considering this timeline, the phone should be ready for purchase within the first week of February.
