Manchester United head coach Jose Mourinho recently admitted that he turned down an opportunity to move to China as he wants his career to continue in England at the moment.
In a recent interview with a leading magazine, the 54-year-old Portuguese coach disclosed that he rejected a "big offer" from an unnamed Chinese Super League club to stay in the English Premier League where he wants to make an indelible mark in the sport.

"I have already refused a big offer to go to China, but I don't criticize anyone who decides to do it. It's their choice, their life. Only they can decide what they need for their future," Mourinho said, talking about the recent exodus of big-name players in their prime from Europe to China, via Yahoo Sports.
Not mentioning anyone in particular, Mourinho then said that he is not like the "other managers" in the English top-flight who "have been critical" about the players who chose to transfer to the Far East.
There are rumors that he could be referring to his Premier League rivals Pep Guardiola, Arsene Wenger, and Antonio Conte, who have all made comments regarding the exodus of players to China.
However, he admitted that he is "worried" that the huge contracts offered by Chinese teams may make it difficult for European clubs to keep their top players, but then followed up that "the player who wants to go is a player that maybe you don't want to keep." Mourinho's former Chelsea player, Oscar, joined CSL club Shanghai SIPG last month in a Chinese transfer record-breaking $73 million deal.
When asked about his legacy, the former Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid champion coach said that he has "changed the life of Portuguese managers," according to ESPN.
"After 2004, when I started conquering my space in the world of football, the Portuguese managers started to have something they never had, a little bit of credibility, a little bit of opportunity. The doors opened. Now they are all over the world. This is my legacy," he said.
