Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has reportedly snubbed an offer from his former boss and now Shanghai SIPG manager André Villas-Boas to join him in China for the upcoming 2017 Chinese Super League season.
Villas-Boas, who signed with the Red Eagles in November last year to replace Premier League legend Sven-Göran Eriksson, was the head coach of the Spurs during the 2012-2013 season before joining Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg in 2014. He also managed Porto and Chelsea prior to his Tottenham stint.

The London Evening Standard reported that the Portuguese manager wants to reunite with his former Tottenham players, Kane and Danny Rose, in Shanghai to join his import squadron consisting of Brazilians Hulk, Oscar, and Elkeson.
The report said that Kane's camp was "contacted by intermediaries who asked about his willingness to move to the Far East." However, the negotiations "never reached the stage of salary or bonuses" as the England international has immediately turned down the mega-offer, saying that he wants to focus on winning a major trophy for the White Hart Lane giants.
Tottenham is currently third in the Premier League, nine points behind league leaders Chelsea, with 16 rounds to go before the season ends.
According to the Daily Star, the 23-year-old goalscorer will receive a "substantial increase" from his present $150,000 weekly wage in London, but he is still keen on staying and collecting trophies in his home country.
Kane began his senior career with the Spurs in 2009 and has been on short-term loans to different teams such as Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City, and Leicester City during different times in his career.
For Tottenham, he had scored 79 goals in 146 games in all competitions in two full seasons and two half seasons so far. He had just signed a five-year contract extension with the Spurs last month.
"You have to choose whether to take the money or follow your own ambitions, playing in the best League in the world and winning titles," Kane said.
