ZTE has announced that it will be launching a new smartphone in India on Feb. 3.

The Chinese smartphone maker has sent media invitations for the launch of its latest smartphone, the Blade A2 Plus, in New Delhi. This is the first mobile device that ZTE will launch in India this year. A teaser image of the upcoming device attached in the invite has been making rounds online.

ZTE India CMO Sachin Batra posted the teaser image on Twitter, revealing the device's back with a square-shaped camera, flash and fingerprint scanner, sitting one below the other vertically. in a separate tweet, the smartphone's battery capacity was shown too.

“Got my hands on the new ZTE smartphone that will rollout next week! Impressive design & battery. Eager for the launch #ZTERollout #Launch,” Batra tweeted.

The most impressive feature the device is its massive 4900mAh battery, and it also supports fast charging. It comes with curved edges on the back, which offers a good grip to hold on to the device. The volume and the power button are placed on the right side of the device. 

ZTE’s new smartphone is powered by a 1.55 GHz MediaTek MT6750T octa-core processor and Mali T860 GPU. It runs on the under Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. It comes in two memory options: 3GB of RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB of RAM with 32GB internal storage. Both variants support expandable storage up to 128GB via a microSD card.

The ZTE Blade A2 Plus features 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5d curved glass display with 1920 x 1080 screen resolution. It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and autofocus and an 8MP front camera. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear of the device.

It is a hybrid dual-SIM (Nano + Nano) device and it has various connectivity options such as Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, 4G LTE, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. The device also comes with a 3.5mm Audio port and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. ZTE Blade A2 Plus has different sensors including Proximity Sensor, Hall Sensor, Accelerometer, and Ambient light sensor. It comes in Gold and Silver color.

The 3GB variant is priced at CNY 1499 (approximately Rs. 15,000) while the 4GB version costs CNY 1,699 (about Rs. 17000).
