Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is considering a move to the Chinese Super League amidst rumors that he is set to transfer to the Major League Soccer at the end of the season.

Fabregas, 29, has been mentioned in recent football transfer rumors linking him with a move to the United States this summer as he has fallen out of Chelsea manager Antonio Conte's rotation this season.

The Spain international has started only five out of the Blues' 24 games in the English top-flight so far and had come off the bench nine times. It was not customary for Fabregas to play an off-the-bench role and the former Arsenal and Barcelona standout had recently admitted that it was a "new situation" for him, as per ESPN.

Fabregas was acquired by Chelsea from Barcelona in the summer of 2014 for a transfer fee of $35 million. He signed a five-year contract and is now in his third season with the Stamford Bridge giants. He had started 33 times in each of his first two seasons in the Premier League for the Blues.

Fabregas is rumored to be planning a future move to the MLS but has "left the door open on a switch to the CSL", the Mirror reported. "Once I retire from Europe, you never know," Fabregas said when asked whether he would consider playing in China. "My plan, once I don't think I can play in Europe, my plan at the moment is to go to the (United) States. But you never know."

The Spaniard also said that he is considering a coaching career after retirement, saying that it is "something that motivates" him moving forward. "If you ask me now, yes, I think in my mind I have plans of taking the badges and studying for it and it's something that motivates me for the future," he said.

"But at the same time I'm still very young and I hope I still have many more years of playing. But I can see myself in the future as a trainer yes," Fabregas added.
