Juventus midfielder Hernanes is reportedly close to reaching a deal with Chinese Super League side Hebei China Fortune after the Brazilian was dropped from the Old Lady's Champions League roster.
Football Italia reported that the 31-year-old former Brazil international is "on the verge of agreeing a move" to the Far East with the Samba Kings after he was cut from Juve's Champions League list so as to allow room for new winter window signing Tomas Rincon from Genoa.

The report noted that Hernanes was almost dealt to Genoa or to Brazilian Serie A club Sao Paulo FC, but a much better bid from Hebei China Fortune was said to have been presented. At the moment, Juve and Hernanes' representatives are already in "advanced negotiations" with the China top-flight club.
The rumored deal is reportedly going to cost $10.8 million, which is a huge profit for Le Zebre considering that the Recife, Brazil native has been seldom used in Turin.
Hebei China Fortune is set to give Hernanes a two-year deal worth $9.7 million per year, unprecedented for a player like him, as per Calcio Mercato.
If the deal pushes through, Hernanes will join other former European stars Ezequiel Lavezzi and Gervinho as imports for head coach Manuel Pellegrini's side. Stephane M'Bia and compatriot Aloisio are also included in Pellegrini's foreign players' line up at the moment.
Hebei finished seventh in the 16-team CSL table the last term, a season after they were promoted from the China League One following a runner-up finish.
Hernanes is in his second season with Juve after he was acquired by the club from Inter Milan in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee of $11.9 million. He has scored twice in 32 appearances in all competitions so far for the Bianconeri playing mainly as a defensive midfielder.
He began his senior career with Sao Paulo in 2005 before moving to Italian club SS Lazio in 2010 where he played four seasons prior to his Inter transfer.
