Although Xiaomi is not part of Mobile World Congress 2017, the Chinese tech firm has introduced a selfie stick that can be a small tripod too.

According to Xiaomi, the selfie stick tripod sports an anti-skid design, offering a good grip. It only weighs 155grms, and it is suitable for everyday use. Its body is made of aluminum, allowing for outdoor usage but it has not been confirmed if it is recommended to use it in rough terrain or bad weather. Its mount on top can hold smartphones with a width of 56mm to 89mm, adjusting and rotating to 360 degrees.
Xiaomi Mi Selfie Stick Tripod is a 2-in-1 device; depending on the type of picture that user is taking at the moment. It contains a detachable Bluetooth remote so that users can control the smartphone even from far. The device removes the need to have a separate tripod for shooting videos and taking selfies from afar.
The selfie stick comes in two color variants: black and white. The device is foldable for portability. The Bluetooth remote is supported by all devices running on Android 4.3 or later and iOS 5.0 or later.
The two color variants of Xiaomi Mi Selfie Stick Tripod are only available in China for now. Those who want to buy the new product can purchase at Mi.com for 89 CNY (about $12).
