The organizing committee of 2013 Beijing International Design Week held a press conference recently, announcing that Florentijn Hofman's world-known giant inflatable rubber duck will float into the 9th China (Beijing) International Garden Expo on September 6th. It will be the giant Rubber Duck's first appearance in Beijing. It will be exhibited through September 23rd.
"Rubber Duck" becomes bigger
Compared with the "Rubber Duck" exhibited in Hong Kong's Victoria Harbor, the "Rubber Duck" created for the 9th China (Beijing) International Garden Expo will be much bigger. It is learned that the height of the "Rubber Duck" will be increased to 18 meters from previous 16.5 meters, which makes it more convenient for tourists to view it and take pictures from different angles.
The giant "Rubber Duck" will float into the Garden Expo Lake, which is the most important landscape ecology project in Yongding River's Green Ecological Development Zone. The organizers will locate the "Rubber Duck" near the Water Dancing Show area, enabling tourists to view the giant "Rubber Duck" together with amazing lightings and water dancing shows.
Giant "Rubber Duck" shows you around the expo
At the 6 gates in the 9th China (Beijing) International Garden Expo, staff will distribute yellow balloons and guide book "Giant Rubber Duck Shows You around Garden Expo" to every tourist. Tourists will also receive other gifts such as "Rubber Duck" T-shirts and hats, if they participate in various activities in the garden expo. In addition, theme decorations such as billboards and flags featuring the giant "Rubber Duck" can be seen everywhere, making yellow the major color of the 9th China (Beijing) International Garden Expo.
It is reported that, to make the tour more interesting and let tourists feel the innocence and happiness brought by the "Rubber Duck", the organizers will create various interactive games during the exhibition of the giant "Rubber Duck".
