How ‘Mother Sense’ Can Look After Home Activities? With Her Little ‘Motion Cookies’

Sense Mother

French Company Sen.se recently introduced Sense Mother, a Wi-Fi enabled central device with the ability to monitor home activities using small tracking devices called Motion Cookies.

Sense Mother and Motion Cookies allow users and parents to monitor activities around the house. It can be used to detect whether the children have brushed their teeth, taken their medicine or drunk their milk.

It can also be used as a home surveillance system.

Sense Mother works by connecting to a home network through an Ethernet port. It then connects to the Motion Cookies through the Wi-Fi network.

Motion Cookies are small sensor devices with the ability to track locations, temperature and changes in movements.

They can be placed in many different household objects, from cups and pillows to toothbrushes and tables. You name it.

Sense Mother receives information gathered by these small Motion Cookies and later transfer the information to users through the Cloud via an app.

The design of Sense Mother is identical to Russian "Matryoshka dolls" or cute "Barbapapa characters" while the Motion Cookies simply look like "Cookies".

The new family surveillance technology is apparently a step forward towards realizing the "Internet of Things" (IoT).

"Mother is the first true advent of the Internet of Things in everyday life," said Rafi Haladjian, founder of Sen.se.

"We have made sensors that unobtrusively blend into your life. She offers the knowledge and comfort you want, when and how you want it, all while remaining discreet."

The device costs €242 (US$394).
