Dirk Nowitzki is one of the greatest players that have ever played the game and he has fans all over the world. One lucky couple from China got to meet Nowitzki after the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Brooklyn Nets and they share an amazing moment with the future Hall of Famer.

The couple flew all the way from China just to see their favorite superstar play. They waited outside the Mavericks locker room after the game against the Nets, hoping that Nowitzki will see them and they can take a picture together, per The Score.

Luckily for the Chinese couple, the 38-year-old superstar saw them and they were able to get their pictures taken together. Nowitzki even game the lovely couple a hug and the young man cannot contain his emotions afterward.

According to USA Today, the Chinese couple has been fans of "The Germinator" for 17 years and they even made signs for him during the game. It's not the first time fans from China made the 14-hour trip to the United States to see their favorite NBA players live.

Basketball is big in China and it is the largest market for the NBA outside the United States. Unsurprisingly, the Dallas Mavericks have expanded their presence in China by partnering with Weibo and other Chinese social media platforms that will cover team news and media in Mandarin, per NBA.com.

The report noted that the Mavericks receive an average of 750,000 impressions per week on the Chinese social media from more than 800,000 followers. 75 Mavs games were broadcasted in China last season and the news of Nowitzki's moment with the Chinese fans will only make him more loved in the country.

Last offseason, Mavs players Harrison Barnes, Dwight Powell and Jonathan Gibson visited China to promote the team during the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. They were joined by longtime Mavs general manager Donnie Nelson but they were without Nowitzki.

The future Hall of Famer recently joined the 30,000-point club and his play this season keeps the Mavericks hope for the playoffs alive. Dallas is just a game and a half behind the Denver Nuggets for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
