A Rampaging SUV Crashes onto Roof of the House in Eastern China

(Photo : Youtube.com) A black SUV car crashed into the roof of a house in eastern Chinese town of Taizhou on Sunday in a accident that was widely reported by the Chinese media.
A black SUV car ended up being stuck on the roof of a house in eastern Chinese town of Taizhou on Sunday in what appeared to be a freak accident. The freakish accident that left the driver, the sole rider, with only minor injuries has been widely reported by the Chinese media in the last 24 hours.

The closed circuit camera that caught the footage of the accident showed a car abruptly crashing into the tiled roof of a house beside the road in Taizhou City, Jiangsu province. A part of the roof immediately collapsed due to the impact of the accident.
"With a big bang, I saw a car stuck in the roof," the homeowner said in an interview. The driver came out of the vehicle by using a using a ladder that was arranged by the local people. He appeared out of the SUV without carrying many injuries on his body. Some reports suggest that he appeared to be completely unhurt.
The driver, whose name is still not known, told the reporters he accidentally stepped on the accelerator while trying to avoid other vehicles. "A tricycle appeared all of a sudden and I turned north only to find that a car was coming in my direction. And I stepped on the accelerator accidentally and changed my direction," he said.
A local policeman claimed that the driver was driving at the approximate speed of 70km per hour at the time of the accident. The SUV was finally lifted off the roof by a crane as the footage of Chinese broadcaster CCTV showed.
