Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced that its latest device dubbed as the Xiaomi Redmi 4S is set to be launched in India on March 20. The Xiaomi Redmi 4A will exclusively available via Amazon.com in India.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4A smartphone features a 5.0-inch Full HD IPS LCD capacitive display screen with 720 pixels by 1280 pixels resolution and 294 ppi pixel densities. Under the hood, the device is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor clocked at a speed of 1.4 Ghz. It has 2GB of RAM onboard and Adreno 308 GPU.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4A smartphone comes equipped with a built-in 16GB/32GB internal memory storage, which can be further expanded up to a massive 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. On the photography department, the phone sports a 13-megapixels rear-facing sensor with f/2.2, autofocus, and LED flash support. On the front is a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4A runs on the Android v6.0.1 (Marshmallow) operating system out of the box, which is coupled with Xiaomi's latest customized MIUI 8 user interface laid on top of it. Fueling the smartphone is a non-removable Li-Ion 3120 mAh capacity battery.

Other features the Xiaomi Redmi 4a smartphone offers include Dual SIM (Nano-SIM/ Micro-SIM, dual stand-by), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v4.1, A2DP, LE, GPS with A-GPS, microUSB v2.0, 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE networks supports. Sensors on the phone are gyro, proximity, accelerometer, and compass. The phone measures a body dimension of 139.5 mm x 70.4 mm x 8.5 mm and weighs around 131.5 grams.
