Atletico Madrid striker Kevin Gameiro is the latest big-name footballer rumored to have attracted the interest of Chinese Super League clubs.
The Sun reported that the France international, who will turn 30 in May, "could already be on the move in a lucrative deal in the Far East" after just one season with the La Liga giants. Atletico signed him to a four-year deal last summer from Sevilla for a transfer fee of $43 million.

Gameiro is head coach Diego Simeone's second striker behind compatriot Antoine Griezmann, who has also been mentioned in rumors linking him to a Manchester United switch at the end of the season.
Speculations abound that Gameiro is unhappy about playing second fiddle to Griezmann and would like to move to a team where he can be the lead striker. With United's interest on Griezmann, Gameiro will have the chance to become a starter next season.
Despite coming off the bench most of the time, Gameiro has been a productive goalscorer for Simeone this season, scoring 14 goals and giving seven assists in a total of 39 appearances in all competitions so far.
Local Spanish media outlet, Marca, indicated that Chinese top-flight teams are trying to lure the Frenchman to Asia, where he could reportedly earn as much as $21 million per year.
Should the transfer push through, it would not be the first time for Simeone to lose a player to China. Jackson Martinez joined CSL champions Guangzhou Evergrande in a Chinese transfer record-breaking deal last year, which saw Guangzhou paying Atletico around $45 million for the Colombian striker. Martinez was only seven months into his Los Colchoneros contract at that time.
According to Marca, Atletico is planning to pursue Lyon striker and Arsenal target Alexandre Lacazette as a potential replacement for Gameiro in case he decides to push through with the China move. The club will still need a new striker, though, if United successfully signs Griezmann also this summer.
