A four-year-old boy in Northern China died after falling from a modified minibus. Classes within the town are suspended as officials check all the schools' transportation vehicles.
The kindergarten minibus in Taiqian County, Henan Province, was found to be illegally altered to fit 23 stools in the back for the young children. A school official said that the van was not an official school bus.

There are discrepancies on the details of the accident. What's only clear is that after the minibus carrying the child left from the school, the child fell, several meters away from his house.
Local media reported that the boy's mother saw something fell but did not realize that it was her son. The school gave the family 350,000 yuan in compensation.
According to the school official, the child was the only passenger of the minibus at the time of the accident, while a kindergarten teacher said that the boy was on the front seat and opened the door when the van was still moving, excited to see his mother. The driver said that the minibus was carrying the three children and unsure of why or how the boy fell.
Government officials have ordered a temporary class suspension to check on all kindergarten buses in the town.
