Liaoning Whowin FC has barged into the winning column with an impressive 3-1 upset victory over last season's runners-up Jiangsu Suning FC at their home field of Shenyang Olympic Sports Center Stadium in a 2017 Chinese Super League third round match on Sunday.
It was the first win and first home game of the season for head coach Ma Lin's side after beginning their campaign with two-straight drawn matches on the road.

Liaoning was held to a 1-1 draw by newly-promoted club Guizhou Zhicheng during their season-opener at the Guiyang Olympic Sports Center on March 3 before settling for a similar 1-1 tie with Henan Jianye at the Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium on March 12.
Three different players scored a goal each for the Northeast Tigers during the match with team captain James Chamanga opening the scoring in the half-hour mark via a penalty kick, ESPN reported. It was the second goal of the season for the Zambia international, who also scored one from the spot during their opening fixture against Guizhou.
Jiangsu midfielder Wang Song was then able to find the equalizer eight minutes later to make it a 1-1 count at the halftime break for head coach Choi Yong-soo's squad, who only played with two imports in Brazilian midfielder Ramires and South Korean defender Hong Jeong-ho.
Former Werder Bremen standout Anthony Ujah then gave the lead back to Liaoning with a goal in the 69th minute off a pass by Chamanga, as per Soccerway. Ujah then provided the assist for his team's third goal of the match, setting up a shot for local midfielder Yang Yu in the 87th, to seal the game's final count.
Liaoning will look to win two games in a row as they next face bottom-dwellers Changchun Yatai at the Development Area Stadium on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Jiangsu Suning will try to earn their first win of the season as they host Chongqing Dangdai Lifan at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center this Friday. Jiangsu is currently in the bottom-two relegation area.
