Middling teams Hebei China Fortune FC (1-0-2, 5 points) and Shanghai Greenland Shenhua FC (1-1-1, 4 points) are scheduled to square off in a 2017 Chinese Super League season match on Saturday, April 8 at the Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Center Stadium.

Hebei China Fortune has managed to remain unbeaten after three rounds of competitions this season. The team opened their campaign with two straight draws against Henan Jianye and Chongqing Lifan before winning their third round match against newly-promoted side Guizhou Zhicheng.

Head coach Manuel Pellegrini's squad nipped Guizhou, 1-0, also at their home field in Qinhuangdao last Saturday, as per ESPN.

Newly-acquired import Hernanes, who formerly played for Serie A clubs Inter Milan and Juventus, scored the winning goal of the match for the Samba Kings as he successfully converted a penalty kick in the 25th minute.

Both teams remained scoreless since then as Hebei secured their first win this season.'

Meanwhile, the newly-improved Shanghai Shenhua squad has not met expectations so far with only 4 points after three games this term. After a loud season-opening 4-0 victory over Jiangsu Suning, the team is now on a two-game winless skid.

Shenhua had settled to a 1-1 draw with another newly-promoted team, Tianjin Quanjian, in the second round before bowing to capital city club Beijing Sinobo Guoan, 1-2, in their third round fixture last Sunday on the road at the Workers' Stadium, via Soccerway.

Guoan striker Burak Yilmaz broke the deadlock in the 37th minute, but Shenhua midfielder Cao Yunding was able to level the count just three minutes later to preserve a 1-1 tie at the break.

The game looked headed to a draw with time running out, but head coach Gus Poyet's side surrendered another goal to Yilmaz, who directed Yu Dabao's assist past the defense of Li Shuai in the 87th minute.

The predicted result is a 2-1 bounce back win for Shanghai Shenhua.
