Cellar-dwelling squad Changchun Yatai FC (0-3-0, 0 points) will try to gain their first point in the 2017 Chinese Super League season as they host surprise team Liaoning Whowin FC (1-0-2, 5 points) at the Development Area Stadium on Sunday, April 9.

Changchun Yatai started this season with a three-game losing slide and they will try to snap that in his game against Liaoning Whowin. Head coach Lee Jang-soo's team dropped an embarrassing 1-5 game to Shanghai SIPG in their season-opener before being drubbed by Guangzhou R&F in their next game, 0-1.

The team is coming off a 0-2 blanking at the hands of current league leaders Shandong Luneng also at their home field of Development Area Stadium last Sunday.

Shandong striker Papiss Cissé scored the game's two goals in the 59th and 81st minutes after Changchun was able to keep the game scoreless in the first half.

With three losses in three games, Changchun remains the only scoreless side in the bottom of the 16-team China top-flight table.

Meanwhile, Liaoning Whowin has been undefeated in their first three games of the season.

The team opened with two-straight drawn matches versus lowly squads Guizhou Zhicheng and Henan Jianye before pulling off a stunning 3-1 victory over last season's runners-up Jiangsu Suning at the Shenyang Olympic Sports Center Stadium last Sunday for their first win this season, ESPN reported.

Team captain James Chamanga buried a penalty in the 30th minute to open the scoring but Jiangsu midfielder Wang Song leveled the count in the 38th to make it 1-1 tie at the half.

Nigerian striker Anthony Ujah gave the lead back to the Northeast Tigers in the 69th minute, with the assist coming from Chamanga, before local midfielder Yang Yu sealed the win with a goal in the 87th with Ujah providing the pass.

The predicted result is a 1-0 victory for Liaoning Whowin.
