Last season's China League One champions Tianjin Quanjian FC (1-1-1, 4 points) will host winless squad Yanbian Funde FC (0-2-1, 1 point) at their home field of Haihe Educational Football Stadium on April 9, Sunday as the 2017 Chinese Super League season moves forward.

Tianjin Quanjian is having a mercurial start to their first-ever campaign in the Chinese first division competitions beginning with a 0-2 loss to Guangzhou R&F in their season-opener. The team then held powerhouse club Shanghai Shenhua to a 1-1 draw on the road at the Hongkou Stadium in the second game.

In their most recent fixture last Saturday, head coach Fabio Cannavaro's squad finally earned their first win of the season with a 1-0 nipping of Henan Jianye.

Brazilian import Alexandre Pato set up local defender Liu Yiming to score the winning goal of the match in the 21st minute while the team went on to pull off the clean sheet led by goalkeeper Zhang Lu. Liu was sent off in injury time, though, after getting booked with a second yellow card.

Meanwhile, Yanbian Funde is yet to win their first game after three rounds of competitions. The team had a goalless draw with Chongqing Lifan in their first game before succumbing to two consecutive losses in the next two rounds.

Their last game was a 0-1 defeat at the hands of Guangzhou R&F at their home field of Yanji Nationwide Fitness Centre Stadium last Saturday, ESPN reported.

Guangzhou import Eran Zahavi provided the lone goal of the match in the 74th minute to hand head coach Park Tae-ha's side their second defeat in the season.

Yanbian is now in the 14th spot of the league table, tied on points with Jiangsu Suning, with a higher goal differential and that is keeping them away from the bottom two relegation area at the moment.

The predicted result is a second-straight 1-0 win for Tianjin Quanjian.
