When you can't find a girlfriend, make one.
This is exactly what artificial intelligence expert Zheng Jiajia in China did. He was tired of looking for the perfect girl to marry and spent his life with, so he created Yingying, a female robot.
The 31-year-old engineer designed and created the entire robot at the end of last year, local media reported. Yingying can identify Chinese characters and images and is also programmed to say a few simple words. Zheng married Yingying - a robot - last Friday in a simple ceremony.

It was a complete wedding ceremony witnessed by Zheng's mother and friends. He wore a black suit and he covered Yingying's head with a red scarf, a wedding ritual in China.
Zheng aims to upgrade his "wife" so she can walk and do household chores. He is very capable of doing so, having worked previously for Huawei and an internet venture base.
