ATM robberies are common in China, but a recent incident that left two men dead on the street and a surprisingly identifiable culprit stood out.
Footage from security cameras showed three men inside an ATM cubicle on Saturday afternoon in Shantou, Guangdong province. A man was withdrawing cash, another was waiting in line, and the suspect, who was holding a knife hidden in a rolled-up newspaper.

The suspect, a medium-sized man, slowly unrolled the newspaper to reveal the knife, with the man waiting in line staring at him. The suspect then proceeded to stab him in the neck before repeatedly stabbing him on other parts of his body.
The man in front of the machine ran out. The suspect took some cash (the man probably left in terror) from the machine and went after the man. The bodies of the two men were later found on the street, lying in pools of their own blood.
The suspect did not even try to conceal his identity, not wearing a cap or sunglasses. At one point, he even made eye contact with the security camera. Police found him on Sunday after a large-scale manhunt, but due to an ongoing investigation, did not release his name.
