Foreign Nationals Eat Inside Train

A group of four foreign nationals decided to wine and dine at a Metro train on Line 11, the line that connects to the Shanghai International Circuit. A passenger posted the photo on social media that shows the four men sharing white wine and bread amongst themselves.
The Metro operator confirmed the event on Monday. The photo showed that the men were eating happily inside the train, complete with a table, plates, and wine glasses. The train official who confirmed the news said that the foreigners will not be punished.

Chinese netizens reacted negatively to the photo, saying that if Chinese nationals did the stunt, they will surely receive punishment.
Although not explicitly prohibited, eating inside the train is considered rude and impolite. Metro operators said that if the men's table blocked the movement of commuters of injured other, they could have been fined 50 yuan.
