The first wearable device of ZTE will run under Android Wear 2.0, offering the most up-to-date notifications, range of watch faces and applications, and Google Assistant features. It is powered by the 1.1 GHz quad-core Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor. It offers 768mb of RAM as well as 4GB of storage. It weighs 3.14 ounces and measures 1.8 inches x 0.57 inches.
ZTE Quartz will sport a 400×400 1.4-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3, delivering a vivid viewing experience. There is also a 500mAh batter that can last up to 36 hours. The smartwatch is also IP67 certified, which means the device is water and dust resistance. It has a built-in speaker for making calls, interchangeable wrist bands, and customizable watch faces. The smartwatch can be used as a companion to a smartphone or it can be a standalone wearable device with the ability to make calls right from the wrist.
For the connectivity, it offers only Bluetooth 4.1, 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n and GPS/aGPS/SUPL. For the sensors it has accelerometer, a gyroscope and barometer. However, it lacks NFC and Android Pay too.
Interested buyers can get ZTE Quartz from T-Mobile website starting April 14. Moreover, it will be available for purchase in selected T-Mobile stores on April 21 onwards. The ZTE Quartz costs $192.
