A 67-year-old man confessed to sexually molesting his 11-year-old stepdaughter in a bunk bed shared by the family.
A district court in Hong Kong may sentence the offender, whose named was not revealed to protect the victim's identity, 10 years in jail for four counts of indecent assault. The final court decision will be announced on May 29.

The assaults began in December 2015. The man, who works as a pest controller, climbed to his daughter's upper bunk and molested her over her pajamas. He stopped after the girl turned her back to him as she felt disgusted. He threatened her that if she tells anyone about the incident, he will hit her.
The man's assaults became more intimate but stopped short of penetration.
His wife caught him molesting the girl in November last year. She reported the case to the police.
"Clearly, the defendant is going to jail for years," judge David Dufton said. In mitigation, the man's relatives and friends called for leniency, defending that he did it in a moment of stupidity.
However, the man did not ask for any mitigation, except that he was remorseful, according to his counsel Karen Cheung. She told the court that her client regretted what he did and the damage he inflicted on the girl.
He also said that he will accept the legal punishments and agreed to receive psychological treatment after 128 days of reflection in custody.
