China's President Xi Jinping said since he completed his last state visit to Russia in March this year, from then on, the two countries have put a series of important consensus into effect. So far, the two countries have collaborated on about 50 projects of 16 fields and have made positive progress. Both presidents attach great importance to bilateral cooperation between China and Russia.
Xi Jinping hopes China and Russia can accelerate cooperation in major strategic projects such as those projects in the fields of energy and aviation, and deepen military cooperation and military technology cooperation in order to meet new threats and challenges in the future. Xi believes the Sino-Russian relationship will keep moving forward on such stable foundations. In the future, the bilateral strategic cooperative partnership between China and Russia will be promoted to a higher level.
Putin said the Sino-Russian relationship is developing rapidly. He is satisfied with the strategic cooperation between the two countries. Today, the two sides will sign a series of agreement during the G20 summit, which will be remarkable decisions of great significance to establish a long and steady cooperative relationship. Russia hopes to further enhance the cooperation in the fields of trade, energy, industry, high technology, and military technology. Putin said the two sides should improve cooperation on large projects to revitalize the economies and maintain global security and stability.
Xi Jinping pointed, at present, the international situation continues to undergo complex and profound change. China completely supports Russia to hold the G20 summit. China will cooperate closely with Russia to strengthen macroeconomic policy coordination and to further promote the reform of the international economic and financial system. Meanwhile, China is firmly against trade and investment protectionism. And China suggests safeguarding the interests of the emerging markets in developing countries.
Putin appreciated China's support on the G20 summit. He also expressed his wish that the BRICS (including Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) should strengthen coordination and cooperation in the future.
