CTi Variety in Taiwan to Air “The Voice of China” (Season 2)

"The Voice of China" (Season 2) has been well received in Chinese mainland since its airing. It is reported that, the broadcasting right of "The Voice of China" has already been sold to Taiwan. The well-known TV show is expected to be broadcast during the prime time.

According to the latest reports, it was CTi Variety, a satellite cable channel operated by Chung T'ien Television in Taiwan, that bought the broadcasting right of "The Voice of China" (Season 2). At present, a 2-minute trailer produced by CTi Variety is broadcast on television. The TV show will be broadcast at 8:00 pm every Saturday since September 7th, 2013. Mr. Sheng, Director of Program Department of CTi Variety, indicated, according to the current audience response, "The Voice of China" has been well received in Taiwan. Audience highly rated Zhang Huimei and Yu Chengqing, the two coaches from Taiwan. Although Taiwan abounds with variety shows, "The Voice of China is like a main course, while reality TV singing contests in Taiwan are just like home cooked dishes," said Mr. Sheng.
According to Lu Wei, Communications Director of "The Voice of China", CTi Variety's import of "The Voice of China" showed the great impact of the TV show on Chinese people all over the world. In Taiwan, almost all the media paid close attention to the import process of "The Voice of China" and intensively broadcast the process. Since there are a number of excellent participants from Taiwan in the Second Season, "The Voice of China" has now become a hot topic in Taiwan.
"The Voice of China" is part of the "The Voice" franchise and is based on Dutch program "The Voice of Holland". It was first premiered in July, 2012 on the Zhejiang Television network. The second season of "The Voice of China" started on July 12, 2013. The coaches of this season are Na Ying, Wang Feng, Zhang Huimei and Yu Chengqing. Before its airing in Taiwan, the TV show has already been broadcast and received great audience response in Hong Kong for 2 years, since its first appearance in 2012.
