Gwen Stefani joined the panel of judges on "The Voice", while Gavin Rossdale has signed up to be one of the guest mentors. But despite collaborating in real life beautifully, the two seem to be at odds when it comes to working together on a musical reality show.

The 44-year old "No Doubt" front woman shared that she had an argument with her husband of 12 years over the idea of working together.

Stefani, a mother of three, shared,  "I went back and forth about having Gavin on [the show] because we have only collaborated on babies before. I was really overwhelmed that Gavin was actually going to be on [the show] with me, and we got in a little fight about it the night before because I was like, "I don't know if I can handle this. It's just too much."'

She shared that she eventually got used to the idea and that working with her musician-husband will certainly spice things up. After sleeping on it, she felt that collaborating with him will be "awesome".

Stefani realized that working alongside her husband, the front man of "Bush", was enjoyable. She said that although she was frantic and nervous going through the first couple of contestants and sitting beside her husband, she eventually eased into the whole process. 

He's smart. He's so musical. You play different roles for different people in your life - and I'm his wife, so it was weird. But it was awesome and really, really fun to do that with him," she shared.

Stefani also shared that their three sons are huge fans of Pharrell Williams, her fellow judge on the show.

When her son King came from school and made her watch the music video of "Happy", Stefani told him that she knew Williams and they had collaborated on music in the past. 

She continued, "I showed him some pictures on the Internet, and he goes, "Was he your boyfriend?" I said no, but you could just see his brain going like, "Wow! It's so weird. My mom is in pictures with my idol. That's so crazy!!"
