Another player from the National Football League (NFL) has been arrested for an alleged domestic abuse case.

Authorities arrested Dwyer on Wednesday as a response to the charges of aggravated assault he purportedly committed in July. This arrest is the most recent domestic abuse case involving NFL players.
Dwyer was accused of two incidents of domestic violence. Apart from the head-butting incident, the NFL players also allegedly punched the face of his wife the next day, then hurled a shoe at their one-year-old son. The boy was hit it in the stomach, but had not suffered from any injury. According to local media reports, both incidents happened over two days at their house in Phoenix.
In addition, Dwyer purportedly prevented his wife from seeking help by blocking her in her attempts to call 911. Police claim that the NFL star seized his wife's mobile phone and tossed it away. Investigators disclosed that Dwyer's wife alerted the police of the incidents on September 11.
At present, the running back's wife has moved out of the home and is currently living out of state. Authorities shared that Dwyer has been reportedly sending her threatening text messages. He even allegedly sent her a picture of a knife.
Upon having been notified of the case, Dwyer has been deactivated by the Cardinals to participate in all activities of the team. An updated report revealed that he has been listed on the team's Reserve/Non-Football Illness list. Hence, Dwyer has been eliminated from the Cardinals' roster. However, he has not been completely cut off from the team.
He has been booked and released on a $25,000 bail on Thursday.
