The name of the dance show is composed of 4 modern dances, including "I & I", "Cells", "Nine-rectangle-grid" and "Have Fun". "I & I", "Cells" and "Have Fun" were created by Wang Tao and Sun Zhuzhen, two young choreographers in Shanghai Jin Xing Dance Theater. The Theater was found in 1999. Most of the previous dance shows were created by Jin Xing herself since the establishment of the theater. She was gratified at the young choreographers' performance this time. "They are mature enough in terms of both body and head. Their works achieve a certain artistic level," said Jin Xing. However, as a supervisor, Jin Xing attended all the rehearsals during the whole summer. She continuously provided recommendations to the choreographers and guided dancers to express their inside feelings through dancing moves. All the works incorporated Jin Xing's innovations and efforts. It is learned that Jin Xing is going to perform a 30-minute dance with a young dancer during her own works "Nine-rectangle-grid".
Among the fellow dancers who are in their 40s, Jin Xing is one of the only a few dancers who keep perform modern dances on the stage. Jin Xing indicated that, "When dancing with young dancers, I feel stressful as dancing is an art for younger people. However, my frequent exposures on TV programs don't mean that I want to turn to something else. Participating in TV programs is only my avocation. Dancing is always my main job. Even when I am too old to dance, I will still choreograph dances. Therefore, I will never leave the stage."
Jin Xing, born in 1967 in Shenyang, Liaoning, is one of the first few transgender artists recognized in China. She is a ballerina, modern dancer, choreographer, actress, and owner of Shanghai Jin Xing Dance Theater.
