Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain features a wolf wearing an eye-patch.
In the ongoing Tokyo Game Show, MGSV displayed video footage that reveals a "junglier" setting and that shows how sniper, Quiet, can help Snake in the game.
The game focuses more on Quiet, the controversial female character. She can cover Snake from vantage points he can't reach.

The new footage revealed a new supporting character. The adorable wolf cub named Diamond Dog, or DD for short. Diamond Dogs is the name of Snake's military organization.
The trailer shows how Snake found DD in the wilderness next to a dead older wolf when DD was just a little cub. Snake adopted DD and the wolf grows into a ferocious adult as the game progresses. The trailed shows the adult DD and, just like Snake, DD wears an eye-patch.
DD can accompany Snake on various missions but it isn't yet clear what role he'll have.
DD can be compared to the dog in Call of Duty: Ghosts but of course, this is just an assumption according to some reports.
Hideo Kojima, creator of MGS, announced that The Phantom Pain will launch for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC in 2015. It comes with its prologue, Ground Zeroes.
