Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic could become unrestricted free-agents next season
The Minnesota Timberwolves have made a late push for restricted free-agency guard Eric Bledsoe, a potential transaction that might see playmaker Ricky Rubio playing for the Phoenix Suns.
The T-Wolves are apparently looking for another piece to complete their lineup of the future, and they view Bledsoe as part of it.

After pulling off a blockbuster trade that sent power forward Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a first-round pick, general manager and head coach Flip Saunders is brewing another big move by bringing in the former Kentucky standout.
According to ESPN , the Wolves offered a max contract to Bledsoe worth $63 million over four years.
"With just days before the start of training camp, the Minnesota Timberwolves are making a final push to acquire restricted free-agent guard Eric Bledsoe in a sign-and-trade with the Phoenix Suns, sources told ESPN.com," Windhorst stated in his latest free-agency report.
However, getting Bledsoe from the Suns won't be easy at all because of the player's restricted free-agency and cap restrictions. The only way for the Wolves to snag their man is to negotiate a sign-and-trade deal with Phoenix.
"The Wolves are offering Bledsoe the four-year, $63 million maximum level contract that he has been seeking, sources said, but because of cap restrictions, the only way he can join the team as currently constructed is through a sign-and-trade deal," Windhorst added.
With this development, there are speculations the Wolves might be looking to part ways with Rubio, who are also seeking a max contract extension. According to reports, the Spanish floor general rejected a four-year, $46 million extension offer and asked for a max deal.
Rubio, who averaged 9.5 points and 8.6 rebounds, is viewed as an excellent passer and perimeter defender but lacks the offensive arsenal - particularly a reliable jump shot - to make him a high-impact player.
The pressing question now is will the Wolves deal Rubio for Bledsoe? Many analysts believed it is a possibility considering Bledsoe's stature as a more-gifted scorer - which is something Rubio deeply lacks.
