The Super Bowl rematch saw quarterback Peyton Manning and his Denver Broncos force the game to overtime, only to fall short against Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks (26-20)

While it was a much closer game compared to the landslide victory the Seahawks had in the previous Super Bowl (43-8), the defending champions came up on top yet again.

The Broncos had their backs against the ropes throughout most of the game.

Manning, known for his ability to gain yards and run himself, was hesitant throughout the quarters. He wasn't able to generate anything offensively until the fourth quarter.

The first quarter started even enough, with both teams scoring a field goal. However, the Broncos would stay at 3 until the fourth.

Ricardo Lockette and Marshawn Lynch caught touchdown passes from Wilson in the second. The score was 17-3 coming into the fourth.

The Broncos came alive in the final quarter, with their defense stepping up in a big way. Wilson was sacked early on a safety was forced.

Then, the Broncos would deflect a pass and intercept the ball, returning to Seattle's 19 yard line. Julius Thomas and Jacob Temme were there for Manning to make his passes count to equalize and force the game into overtime (20-20).

However, Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright was confident that when they got the ball, they would win.

It took them 13 plays, covering 80 yards in close to six minutes for Marshawn Lynch to run in for the touchdown and win the game.

While it seemed that the momentum was shifting for the Seahawks at the start of the extra quarters, Wilson seemingly felt excited rather than pressured.

He said that he can't wait for those big-time moments, and that it was a great experience.
